In the grand narrative of tire manufacturing, people often focus on the formula of tread rubber or the strength of steel cord, but rarely pay attention to the auxiliary materials that silently support product accuracy in the molding and vulcanization processes. In fact, as the core component of tire structure, the geometric stability of the bead during production flow directly determines the uniformity and dynamic balance performance of the finished product. The Game between Structural Mechanics and Dimensional Stability
The primary mission of a bead separator is to provide rigid support for soft, uncured tire beads during high-temperature, high-pressure vulcanization environments and prolonged parking, preventing them from undergoing elliptical deformation. Compared to traditional materials, PP tire bead pads exhibit excellent isotropic characteristics. During the injection molding process, by optimizing the flow channel design, the shrinkage rate is strictly controlled between 0.4% and 0.6%, which means that under the standard specification of a diameter of 400mm, the dimensional deviation can be controlled within ± 0.2mm. This extremely high dimensional stability ensures precise positioning of the tire bead on the molding machine, effectively avoiding tire bead distortion caused by partition deformation, thereby reducing the radial runout value of the tire from the source.
Thermal Properties and Surface Engineering
Vulcanization is the most demanding working condition in tire manufacturing, and the partition must have excellent heat resistance and demolding properties. The modified PP material endows the partition with a thermal deformation temperature of up to 140 ℃, allowing it to maintain structural integrity and prevent softening and adhesion when in contact with molds above 160 ℃. More importantly, its surface engineering design is crucial. PP bead separators are usually subjected to special surface treatment to achieve a critical value of 28-32mN/m on their surface, coupled with mirror level polishing technology (surface roughness Ra<0.4 μ m), greatly reducing the interfacial adhesion between rubber and separators. Actual test data shows that its demolding force is reduced by about 30% compared to traditional partitions, which not only reduces the residual rubber material, but also protects the integrity of the tire bead steel wire.
Lightweight and Chemical Corrosion Resistance Data
In today's pursuit of production efficiency, the durability and weight of partitions are equally important. By introducing long glass fiber reinforcement technology, the tensile yield strength of Apex Holder can be increased to over 45MPa, the bending modulus can reach 2200MPa, and its density is only 0.92g/cm ³. This high specific strength characteristic enables the partition to withstand the pressure of mechanical arm grasping and stacking on automated production lines while maintaining lightweight. In addition, it exhibits extremely high inertness towards common oil-based additives, release agents, and cleaning solvents in rubber processing. After more than 500 cycles of use, its quality loss rate is still less than 0.5%, demonstrating excellent chemical corrosion resistance and full lifecycle cost advantages.
