Bead Spacer is an indispensable precision auxiliary material in the tire manufacturing process. Its core function is to prevent adhesion between the bead and the rubber or mold before molding and vulcanization, ensuring the geometric accuracy and integrity of the tire structure. Among them, PP bead separators have become the mainstream choice for modern tire production lines due to their excellent dimensional stability, physical strength, and surface characteristics.
In the tire forming stage, the tire bead (composed of steel wire rings, triangular rubber strips, tire bead wrap, etc.) needs to be accurately positioned and wrapped in the rubber material. If there is no isolation from the Bead Bundle Release Liner, the soft rubber material is prone to adhere to the steel wire ring or mold during high temperature, high pressure, or long-term parking, causing the position of the tire bead to shift, uneven distribution of the rubber material, and even forming stress concentration points inside the tire, affecting its high-speed performance and durability. Therefore, the tire bead partition is the first line of defense to ensure accurate tire structure and uniform force distribution.
Rubber tray is made of polypropylene (PP) material through injection molding or biaxial stretching processes, which has performance advantages that traditional paper and wooden partitions cannot match. The key product data is as follows:
Dimensional accuracy: The thickness tolerance is strictly controlled within ± 0.05mm to ensure that each partition can provide consistent isolation effect during circulation on the automated production line, avoiding tire bead position deviation caused by uneven thickness.
Physical strength: The tensile strength can reach 30-35MPa, and the elongation at break remains between 100% and 150%. This allows it to withstand the high-pressure bonding of the molding machine and easily peel off after vulcanization without cracking or residue.
Surface characteristics: The surface roughness (Ra) is usually below 0.8 μ m, presenting a mirror like smooth texture. The extremely low friction coefficient effectively reduces the adhesion with the rubber material, making the demolding process smooth and reducing the risk of scratching the surface of the rubber material.
Heat resistance: Through modification technology, the hot deformation temperature can be increased to over 120 ℃. In high-temperature workshops or environments near vulcanizing machines, the partition can still maintain rigidity and will not soften or deform.
Chemical resistance: It can resist the corrosion of rubber additives, release agents, and cleaning solvents for a long time, maintain a smooth surface, and extend its service life.
Environmental friendliness: Compliant with RoHS standards, the heavy metal content is strictly controlled at the ppm level, non-toxic and odorless, and harmful volatiles will not be released during the high-temperature vulcanization process.
