In the precision system of modern tire industry, although the bead separator is inconspicuous, it plays a key role as an "invisible guardian". The Bead Spacer made of PP (polypropylene) material is gradually becoming the mainstream choice in the industry due to its unique physical properties. Today, we will explore from a microscopic perspective of technical parameters how it uses data to support the safety and stability of tires.


Firstly, the selection of materials is fundamental. High quality circular plastic flaps are typically made from highly crystalline homopolymer PP. The melt index (MFR) of this material is usually controlled between 2.0-4.0 g/10 min (test standard: 230 ℃, 2.16 kg), which ensures good fluidity of the material during injection molding, accurate filling of every detail of the mold, and sufficient molecular weight to maintain the mechanical strength of the finished product.


Dimensional accuracy is another core indicator for measuring the performance of Bead Bundle Release Liner. Taking the standard car tire partition as an example, its outer diameter tolerance is usually strictly controlled within ± 0.2mm, and its thickness tolerance is within ± 0.05mm. This micrometer level precision requirement is to ensure that the partition can perfectly fit with the bead wire during tire vulcanization, avoiding stress concentration caused by dimensional deviations. In terms of physical properties, the tensile yield strength of Plastic tray is not less than 30MPa, and the elongation at break is usually maintained between 100% and 200%. This means that it will not easily break when subjected to huge tension in the bead area, and has a certain degree of toughness to absorb deformation energy.


Heat resistance is another highlight of PP bead separators. The tire vulcanization process usually needs to be carried out at a high temperature of 150 ℃ -170 ℃. High quality PP separators can maintain shape stability within this temperature range, and the heat distortion temperature (HDT) is usually higher than 100 ℃ (under a load of 0.45MPa). In addition, its low water absorption rate (<0.01%) ensures dimensional stability in humid environments and avoids compatibility failure caused by water absorption expansion.


From microscopic molecular structure to macroscopic dimensional tolerances, every technical parameter of PP bead separators is aimed at achieving the same goal: establishing a strong and precise barrier between the tire and the wheel rim, ensuring the sealing and structural integrity of the bead area, and safeguarding every smooth driving experience.
